The charming town of Brandon on the edge of Thetford Forest has a popular children’s playpark that needed some repairs to improve its appearance and safety. Overlooking a busy housing estate, the park is on a fairly steep slope and has multiple fenced sections to keep it secure.
We took down and removed the existing timber picket fence which had fallen into poor condition. After clearing the old fence posts and filling in the ground, we installed over 70 metres of 1.2-metre-high bow top railings.
Bow top railings are a good choice for children’s areas, the lack of sharp edges makes it safe for any children climbing while the space between the rails is wide enough to not let fingers get trapped but not so wide that heads or bodies can get trapped!
The fence was galvanised and powder coated as standard to ensure durability and a long lasting, rust free appearance. This installation was chosen in the standard black colour but can be matched to RAL colours to suit the surroundings.
