In the summer months, having a caravan opens up weekends to adventures and trips away with family as soon as the weather is pleasant. However, storing a caravan can be a tricky situation. Our customer in Thorpe St Andrew came to us to free up space in their driveway and provide a new way to store their caravan.
We made a few alterations to provide access to an advantageous area behind the garage that was paved over and had a low kerb on the street. At the side of the property, we removed a section of existing fencing to provide a gap wide enough to drive a caravan through. We also removed a large hedge that was in the way, disposing of all the waste for the customer.
Two 175mm gate posts were installed, with the original fencing cut and put back into place. We built the double leaf 1.8m high x 3m wide access gate in our workshop and installed in place, with the hinges on the outside to allow for outward opening.
Hinges are usually fitted on the inside of a gate for security reasons so, in this instance, we informed the customer of the security of the gate and fit two slide bolt locks as well as a standard drop bolt on one side.
All of our work is made to measure with pressure treated timber that comes with a 15-year timber guarantee! For a FREE no-obligation quote, call 07947 366551 or email info@npfencing.co.uk.
