We recently visited the beautiful seaside village of East Runton, to install bespoke gates for a customer’s driveway. Sat upon the cliffs of North Norfolk between the towns of Sheringham and Cromer, our team enjoyed stunning views after a hard day’s work.
The large frontage of the driveway required a secure gate to keep pets and children safe. As the opening was so large, we installed closeboard panels either side of the 4-metre-wide double leaf gate. At 1.2 metres high, the gate and fence are tall enough to be secure without looking imposing or obtrusive.
Made of pressure treated timber, the look of the wood fits in with the seaside surroundings and will mellow with age, without compromising on strength or stability. Simple and elegant handles and latches were chosen to complement the design, providing a long-lasting, robust gate that will serve the family home for years to come.
