At Norfolk Prestige Fencing, the bulk of our work is in carpentry. We hand-build all our fence, gate, shed and decking installations, but our skills don’t end there! We also lay patios and driveways that can transform a property. Here’s a breakdown of our process.
Our Five-Step Paving Process
We’ve broken our paving process down into five steps, so you will know exactly what we are doing at each stage:
- Consultation: This is your patio or driveway, so tell us what you want! We can work with brick, concrete paving slabs or natural stone. The design is very much your own, we will be there to advise and take measurements.
- Preparation: Before we start work on laying your new paving, we will remove whatever was there before. Hard concrete, badly-laid tarmacadam, section of lawn – we’ll remove it and dispose of it responsibly.
- Foundation: All of our patios and driveways are laid on a firm concrete foundation. This will reduce problems with weeds and provide long-term stability.
- Implementation: Laying a patio or driveway quickly and so as to create a smooth surface that will be easy to maintain is a skilled job – so you’re always better off asking professionals to do it. For sloped gardens, we can also build steps and tiers into your patio.
- Completion: All of our patios and driveways are sealed with a commercial grade sealant. The site will be left clean and tidy – the only evidence that we’ve been there will be your shiny new patio or driveway!
